Guess it’s time I make good on my desire to use this space more often. I’m not sure what yet it’ll be used for yet! Probably art & one-shots? Not sure, not sure. Either way! Hello!

Unfortunately my usual username here was taken lol which is a bummer. So ironcloak it is.
I'm in the process of slowly migrating prompt fills and other writings to here, so please be patient with me while I do that! Otherwise you can expect a lot of just personal "about writing" things from me here (or personal posts in general set to friends only), but until then, this is going to be the name of the game.

I decided to move all my writing efforts to this blog rather than continually posting about it on tumblr, which is much more geared towards fandom nonsense than in depth anything about writing.

As of right now, I have six Works in Progress. That is a ridiculously large amount for someone like me. I remember feeling overwhelmed when I only had two WIPs going, so my goal is to see if I can finish the shorter ones and then move onto the longer projects.

So far I have:
2 Dramione fics. 
3 Reylo fics.
1 Reylux fic. 

I feel like that’s... A Lot.

One of the reylo fics, a college AU that started as a tumblr prompt, will probably only be about four chapters, so eventually I’ll be down to five. One of the Dramione fics is currently only a half baked idea in my head, and the Reylux fic is really only just being plotted at the moment, but I’d like to eventually work my list down to three WIPs. Four, MAX. 

I have not worked on something long term for such a long time now that it feels daunting to try and get back into consistently writing, but I have to start somewhere so I guess here’s better than anywhere. I might just use this space as a place to try and work out the process as I go. 

I am incapable of writing without an outline. 

There. I said it.

Why am I saying it? because I am Struggling(tm) right now trying to forge ahead on these stories without a complete outline, but somehow I can't get my brain in working order enough to complete said outline.

I am not a pantser. I get lost in the Writerly Swamp if I try that. I may allow myself for quirky deviations along the path to add flavor sometimes, so long as at some point we still reach points A, B, and C, but... uh. How do you get to point C if you don't know what point C is yet? My brain is being very unhelpful. I have no idea how I managed to plot intricate stories before. It feels like I've forgotten how. 

This post has nothing of substance in it. Sorry.

That might be the most succinct thing I have to say about this whole week in general. It’s Saturday. One more day to go yet before it’s even over, only for the next one to come around and exhaust me again. Sigh.
But! BUT!
I managed to write. Hurrah! I didn’t get as much done as I would like, but some is better than none. So far it all looks like:

Aegis: 2600 words
- Chapter 15, finished
- Chapter 16, +251 words
I’m pretty sure most of those 2600 worde were utter garbage, seeing how hard it is for me to get back in the swing of updating after going on such a long stretch of time w/o doing a thing to the fic, but at least that’s what exiting is for? Ughughhhh. 

Dark!Pretty Woman Reylo AU: 666 words
- Chapter 1: +200 words
- plot: bulletpoints up to chapter 10. No idea of ending.

This story is so underdeveloped. I have an idea, a certain mood I want the story to have, and half a prayer that I might be able to write it eventually.
I doubt it’ll be published any time soon. I have accepted the fact about myself that I can only really work on 2 WIPs at most at a time, and right now I have three. So this one’s staying as an underdeveloped WIP for a while. I gotta focus on Aegis and Blackout first.
